Nervous/Excited..oh my gosh

Well, tomorrow is the big day. It's ultrasound day. I will be 9 weeks 5 days so the little one might actually look like a baby :)

I've been so sick the past week. While it sucks, having symptoms and lots of them, makes me feel better about the baby being okay. I've even read that women with morning sickness (haha, more like all day) are way less likely to ya know, that ugly M word. In addition to my nausea and vomiting, I've had a lot of stretching in my stomach this week. My body is really preparing for this baby. It's amazing. Even when I'm laying on the couch holding my stomach and feeling like I'm going to lose my lunch, I feel blessed.

I just can't wait to see our little gummy bear in less than 12 hours. Will update tomorrow :)

Loving it

8 weeks

Cravings: Pepsi (caffeine free), pickles, and just plain hungry!

Happy Things:  Enjoying my tiny little bump.

Sad things/Worries: Just normal pregnancy worry and struggling with my anxiety. And I've got a cold this week :(

Weight Gain: 3 pounds

Aches and Pains: Just headaches, really and if you know me and my chronic headaches, they have actually lessened since I got pregnant. Sometimes hormones work on your side!

Mood: Pretty happy most of the time even when I'm crying haha

Movement: It won't be there for a while.

Sleep:  It's a big part of life these days, but I figure I better get sleep while I can.

It seems like yesterday we were at the beach on vacation and I found out we were going to have a baby and now here I am, 2 months along. I'm so happy. I have these feeling that it's going to be a girl. Maybe it's mother's intuition or just hope, who knows? My mom on the other hand, thinks it might be twins! Which is totally possible since it's my generation and my daddy was a twin. My cousin Jennifer had twins and is the only one in our generation so far. Honestly the thought scares the crap out of me.

Only a week and a half until our first ultrasound. I'm nervous and so excited to see the heartbeat. It will be a relief even though I'll still be in the 1st trimester.

Well, that's all for now!

7 weeks :)

Three weeks ago, my life changed as the second line on the pregnancy test popped up. I called Tim in, and asked if he saw what I saw. He did. I think we both were shocked that it was there. We were happy, but it takes a bit to sink in.

I can't explain what I felt then and the following days. But those of you who are mothers will completely understand. Probably since I was 18, maybe younger, I've known I wanted to be a mother. It's just something I knew. I love children, especially babies. And when Tim & I began dating and talking seriously, we talked about how we'd one day have children. Now 2 1/2 years of marriage later, here we are with a baby on the way.

After the at home pregnancy test confirmed, I went to the dr. to confirm. Then a week later, I visited the new OB I would be seeing. They took some blood, gave me some paperwork and talked about the pregnancy a little. I knew it was too early for an ultrasound, but when the Dr. said it would be another 4 weeks, I was anxious. She changed my anti-anxiety medication to something that is safe during pregnancy. This is something I am currently dealing with managing. I want what is best for our child, but I have to take care of myself to take care of the baby. I am only bringing this up because prayers are definitely appreciated during this time.

Our first ultrasound is now 2 1/2 weeks away. I already have a small bump and my pants are tight, which honestly I enjoy :) I'm exhausted and don't always feel well, but I'm very happy. I'm ready to enjoy every step of this journey and share it along the way. I'll be posting pictures soon.
